Last week Claire went canoeing on the Humber River. Next week she will go apple picking one day and on another do volunteer cooking and delivery of Meals on Wheels. My daughter’s every day is filled with friends, people who care about her, and the opportunity to have fun and make a difference. That is what Mimico SNAP has given us. I cannot believe our good fortune to have found Denise and this incredible group of caring and capable staff. There is no place like SNAP💕

SNAP has provided our 21 year old daughter with a community of friends and helpers who allow her to feel loved and listened to, and where she can thrive and grow through activities that deliver fun, learning and deep friendships. She looks forward to attending everyday. Most days will have an excursion which integrates these SNAP members out into the neighborhood and beyond, enriching the lives of both the members and the community at large. The magic of SNAP can be found in the passion and commitment of its leadership, as well as the entire team who work with the members every day.

I am so glad to have found Mimico SNAP for my adult son. The staff have been so welcoming and attentive to my son’s specific needs. Each week, he looks forward to participating in their enjoyable program which is nuanced and enriching.

Our family feels like we won the lottery since we found Snap. Our daughter Devon immediately connected with the incredible, caring staff and other members. She is thriving and so excited to go everyday. The activities, outings and community connections are educational, social and just plain fun. They have even joined a special Olympics bowling team and Devon is so proud ! Everyday she comes home bubbling with stories about her adventures with Snap!
